Book in a Day!

Seton was buzzing today as we held our first annual “Book In A Day” event! While one group of students was busy with the PSAT test the rest of the student body with high school and middle school faculty members gathered to read Hour of the Bees by Lindsay Eager. . As we read the students completed arts from across the disciplines, including art, poetry, and science. We had a great time and can’t wait til next time! The PSAT took all morning and we then took a healthy break for lunch and outside play. In the afternoon we read Stephen King’s short story “Word Processor of the Gods.” Students discussed the novel together and wondered what would they do if they had a machine that could change reality with a stroke of the keyboard? Now, they are busy designing Japanese “Chindogu” or useless inventions!
